2017 Paschal Candles by Brightly Hude

Hey All!

I just thought I’d share the Paschal Candles that I painted this year.  This is my third year painting them, and I get more requests each year.  I came up with a faster process (with the help of a Cricut machine) to enable me to do so many in a timely fashion (they take 2-3 working days each, now).  If anyone wants to learn more, just give me a shout.

Very nice Adalee. I assume you painted the center motif and used the Cricut machine for the decoration?

Thanks so much! I painted acrylic paint on to clear plastic (on a Cricut mat), let it dry, uploaded my designs into the Cricut software and cut all of the pieces out (including the center motif). The acrylic paint pieces became like decals that easily stuck to the candle with a little pressure. I hand detailed the pieces after they were cut. It took some experimentation to get it right, but I’m so grateful that it worked!

These are really beautiful. Great work! The bright colors and ornament are very joyful and fitting for an Easter candle and I like how your ornament supports the overall design and leads you to the main symbols.
